The city's own stretch of sand along Vista del Mar, rebuilt with dredged sand after the Hyperion plant expansion in the 1980s. The main access is at Vista del Mar and Grand Avenue, with paid parking, lifeguards, restrooms, volleyball courts and the beach bike path.
