NEWSLETTER & PARK CIRCLES / SIGNUP PRIVACY
Your email.
Your choices.
A small, private signup list for El Segundo Today and the interests that might bring neighbors together.
Updated October 24, 2026 · This page covers the newsletter and Park Circles signup forms.
What we collect
Your email address, the choices you explicitly make, the time and version of your consent, and the page where you signed up. If you choose Park Circles updates, we also save your selected interests and whether you might help host. That option is for adults 18 and older.
We do not ask for your name, home address, precise location, phone number or date of birth. An email that passes the form’s format check is still unverified; it does not prove who owns that address.
What those choices mean
Newsletter consent is for El Segundo Today emails about local news, useful places, events, art and University of El Segundo lessons. Park Circles consent is separate and covers updates about forming groups around your selected interests. Host interest starts a conversation; it creates no hosting or attendance obligation.
We are collecting early interest. Automated email delivery has not started, and no gathering is booked by completing this form. Any future email service and confirmation process will be configured separately.
Who can see it
Signup records are stored privately with the site’s hosting provider, Netlify. The site owner can access them through a protected owner interface. They are not published, added to a public member directory, forwarded to Grok, or made available through the public local-information API.
Park Circles members do not receive one another’s addresses. Any future introduction or contact sharing needs a separate choice from the people involved. Signup details are not sold.
Netlify also processes requests and technical information needed to host and protect the site under its privacy policy. This form adds no advertising tracker or browser storage for your signup.
Withdrawing and removing information
Keep the private cancellation link shown after your request. It is a secret link: anyone with it can withdraw the signup it identifies. The link opens a page with an explicit withdrawal button; merely visiting it does not cancel anything.
Withdrawal removes the stored email and interests. A limited record containing hashed identifiers, dates and the consent version remains so an anonymous request cannot silently restore the same signup. A later anonymous form submission cannot undo the withdrawal. Contact the owner if you would like to rejoin.
If you lose the link, write from the signup address to mh@pointcast.xyz. We may ask you to verify the address before accessing or changing its record. Hosting backups or technical logs may follow the provider’s own retention process.
